Martijn Comes returns from the hunt — not as the hunter, but as the hunted, the lone wolf producer who searches for the beauty of innocence in the outer reaches of interstellar space. Ambient tones shimmer like solar winds; airy strings resonate into the aether; and a calm descends slowly upon the sea. A delicate, if not fragile work, Comes bares something of his silicon soul, approaching the most destructive yet inspired of impulses, love. The Wolf EP is accompanied by two techno remixes. Chad Mossholder of TWINE twists space into a rhythmic march of airborne nanobots while Montréal’s CLAiRe slingshots out to Saturn, finding solace in the reaches of deep space.
